TESTIMONIALS
In an intellectual discussion, Dan Diaconu proposes a theory to better explain the anxiety many people feel and the evolutionary cycle behind it in his book, The Off-Balance Theory. The author uses examples from an array of subjects, like engineering, biology, astronomy, economics, politics, and the family unit to illustrate his point, and presents information relating his theory to diets, fasting, and exercise. Diaconu’s text dives into several debatable topics, like issues relating to sexuality and artificial intelligence, but the material is presented in an informative, unbiased way. Dan Diaconu proposes a theory and presents scores of valid evidence to support it. He notes that struggle leads to growth, and stress and anxiety can have positive outcomes if you are flexible. The author believes our bodies are on an evolutionary cycle, and it correlates to every system’s function, and he presents both sides of the issue to stimulate thought and discussion rather than to argue a particular belief. Off-balance is an undesirable, but necessary, condition that advances a species or system into the next stage needed for continued growth. The text will empower individuals by teaching them a new way to approach anxiety, embrace it, and arrive at a better-defined path for alleviating the symptoms. Instead of becoming complacent, Diaconu urges his readers to explore the possibilities inside his book and apply them to their lives and manner of thinking. The Off-Balance Theory may appeal to academics, but the public could take away a new perspective that could help them understand and lessen their anxieties.
I really liked the book, I just couldn't put it down. Very interesting perspective to the "Off balanced" systems which is explained so natural, presenting true facts. The personal touch in Chapter 5 was heart warming yet little sorrow but how amazing seen from the author's lens. I was hooked navigating through this book as throughout years i've often asked myself "why things go wrong?" "How can I overcome difficult situations?", "why me?", "what's next?", etc. Reading every line of this book made me realise that in fact our personal growth and development depends very likely on how do we embrace challenges (off balance) and how we can manage to keep a good balance from all aspects. Definetly a starting point in personal development!
